Nana Funks sits on 29th Street South in Birmingham — a corner where the neighborhood gathers before work, after work, or whenever the day needs a pause. We pour specialty coffee from locally sourced beans and mix cocktails with the same attention to detail.

Our Story

Nana Funks grew out of a simple belief: a neighborhood café should feel as considered as a cocktail bar, and a cocktail bar should feel as welcoming as a living room. We opened our doors on 29th Street South to give the neighborhood a place that doesn't ask you to choose between a great cup of coffee and a well-made drink.

We source from roasters who take their craft seriously, work with Alabama breweries and distilleries, and treat every guest the way we'd want to be treated — with warmth, attention, and no rush to leave.
